What is coaching?
Coaching draws upon techniques and theories from a range of disciplines such as psychology, sociology, personal development, social work and career development that can help you create change in your life. This is done through a coaching series which includes setting motivating goals, support, and creating a plan that sees you moving towards the kind of life you want to create.
Through the process, coaching can help you uncover what's truly important to you, your personal values and what you feel is missing from your life. Coaching can challenge you to think and behave differently, where you're consciously learning what's best for you and the life you want to have and live.
Who is coaching for?
People who seek coaching come from all walks of life and are at different stages of their lives too. You might be drawn to coaching because you feel a need to grow or create lasting change and you're ready to take action. Coaching is most effective when you're ready to focus on solutions to reach your destination, rather than trying to unpack the cause or reasons behind a problem or issue.
What areas can I be coached on?
Some of the common areas people choose to work with coaches on include:
getting clarity on their life direction and purpose
improving their confidence and self-belief
exploring business ideas
improving their health and wellbeing
tapping into their creativity and playful side
bringing an idea or project to life
taking control of their personal finances
creating lasting self-care routines
moving through significant life transitions
developing meaningful relationships
exploring and developing their spirituality
What is the role of a coach?
The role of a coach is to support you in reaching your goals. A coach is there to look only from where you're currently at and help you move into your future. The support a coach offers is part motivational, part education, and part accountability to create an environment where you're empowered to create lasting change. A coach is not there to disempower you by telling you what or how to do something, but there's a belief that you already knows what is right for you at any given time. A coach supports you by providing a safe coaching space, powerful questions, positive feedback and challenging you to push past limiting beliefs that are holding you back.
What's the difference between a consultation and a coaching series?
A consultation with me might be great for you if you need a sounding board to help you work through a decision or crossroad you might find yourself in. It's also useful if you need inspiration and support about something you want to achieve or change in your life. A Consultation is a great short term option that can help you get clarity on your next move. Click here to book a consultations.
A coaching series is a powerful structured process with a start and end date. The process allows you to set in motion a specific change or achievement that you want in your life. Because it is a process, it requires commitment to see things through from start to finish so that you're motived, you're in constant action and you reach your goals. I offer three or six month coaching series which you can learn more about here.
How do you offer your sessions?
Video conferencing and over the phone!
Everything set up for us to have our sessions via Zoom, Skype or over the phone. In most cases, that means it's not only free, but we can catch up where you're in the comfort of your own home.
This is a great option if you need 'out of work hours' flexibility, you like the idea of being at home in your PJs with a cup of tea, or if we're in totally different parts of the world to each other!
We can make it work for you!
I can't find a time that works for me. What are my options?
If you're struggling to find a time slot for your session in my calendar (see also Operating Hours), please send an email to and we'll see if we can work something out for you. Please note I will need to assess requests on a case by case basis. If you have any concerns, please get in touch.
How can I prepare for my consultation?
The best way to prepare for your session is to firstly, answer the pre-coaching/consult questionnaire as detailed as you can.
When we catch up, have something to write with close by and have your questionnaire responses to hand (you'll have a copy of this in your email).
What payment options do you offer?
For coaching series, you have the option to pay in full (and receive a discount), or to pay in monthly instalments / payment plan which is governed by a coaching agreement.
If you would like to use a payment plan, you can choose to be invoiced on a monthly basis, or have payments direct debited.
For 90 minute consultations, you are required to pay in full. Appointments can only be made once payment has been received.
